REEFRACT

Reefract is a practice based ecological design and material research project. It applies artistic research methods to ecological systems, material innovation, and infrastructural transformation, exploring how repurposed biological materials can generate resilient multispecies frameworks in coastal environments.

Reefract’s work is grounded in sensory ecological thinking, interrogating how non-human perception and environmental feedback can shape the design and evaluation of living infrastructures.

Reef Regeneration Project

At REEFRACT, we are dedicated to repurposing shells to create artificial reefs. Our reef regeneration project aims to restore marine ecosystems, promote sustainability, and reduce marine noise pollution. We integrate shells local to the region of instalment and create tailored solutions to each environment.

Ceramic Innovation

Community Engagement

REEFRACT collaborates closely with our material suppliers. Working towards a circular economy model. We host frequent community events at restaurants, fishmongers and oyster bars. Bringing people together for a better future. We also host events to further sustainability.
