REEFRACT

REEFRACT is a Germany-based project developing, artificial reefs and use cases for the millions of tons of annual seafood and shell waste. We are dedicated to creating fair, and climate-aware solutions to help coastal communities gain resilience.

With unique hybrid materials, we create artificial reefs that help protect both human and non-human environments. Both the structures we create and their material properties are beneficial to these environments.

Reef Regeneration Project

At REEFRACT, we are dedicated to repurposing shells to create artificial reefs. Our reef regeneration project aims to restore marine ecosystems, promote sustainability, and reduce marine noise pollution. We integrate shells local to the region of instalment and create tailored solutions to each environment.

Ceramic Innovation

Community Engagement

REEFRACT collaborates closely with our material suppliers. Working towards a circular economy model. We host frequent community events at restaurants, fishmongers and oyster bars. Bringing people together for a better future. We also host events to further sustainability.
